Zetrix AI is Founding Member of World Data Organization

  • Sees Immense Value in Global Data Waiting to be Unlocked

Petaling Jaya, 31 March 2026 – Zetrix AI Berhad (“Zetrix AI”), formerly known as MY E.G. Services Berhad, announced today its involvement in the newly-launched World Data Organization (“WDO”) as a key founding member and expressed its commitment to play a meaningful role in enabling the full value of global data to be realised intelligently and responsibly.

As one of the founding members, Zetrix AI is a member of the inaugural council and the lead representative for Asean.

Headquartered in Beijing, the WDO was officially launched on 30 March 2026 and held its inaugural assembly with the theme of jointly building a data cooperation platform and sharing digital development opportunities. The international body is composed of a diverse membership that includes enterprises from across multiple industries, universities, think tanks, international organisations and financial institutions, and other entities from the global data sector.

The WDO’s major focus areas include:

i) Breaking barriers: Addressing inconsistent data policies across countries, promoting industry consensus, standard recommendations and best practices to support governments and research institutions, while helping multinational enterprises reduce compliance costs.

ii) Building ecosystems: Deploying data applications in real-world sectors such as healthcare, education and energy to drive project implementation and industrial innovation, while strengthening talent development – particularly in the Global South and developing countries – to bridge the digital divide.

In his congratulatory message to mark the inauguration of the WDO, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasised the increasingly evident role of data as a fundamental resource and an innovation engine in the intelligent age, recognising the WDO as a valuable platform for deepening international cooperation regarding data and improving global data governance.

In expressing China’s support for the initiative, he added the country will work with all parties to forge consensus on data governance rules, promote innovation in digital and intelligent technologies, facilitate the secure, orderly flow and efficient development and utilisation of data, serve the healthy development of the global digital economy, and ensure that the dividends of data better benefit people of all countries.

“Data is the new factor of production in a world where AI is omnipresent. Every entity holds valuable data and WDO plays a pivotal role in enabling this value to be unlocked thus creating a new source of wealth. AI agents built on such comprehensive datasets can execute their tasks more accurately and efficiently,” explained TS Wong, Group Managing Director of Zetrix AI.

As Malaysia’s leading digital services provider with a growing presence across the region, Zetrix AI has a deep history of collaboration with leading Chinese entities, such as the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology , the General Administration of China Customs and Guangxi Beitou IT Innovation Technology Investment Group, focussing on blockchain infrastructure, cross-border trade facilitation and digital identity verification. Through the government-endorsed ASEAN China AI Lab initiative, Zetrix AI is cultivating collaboration between the ASEAN region and China to drive cutting-edge advancements in AI, blockchain and robotics.

This collaborative approach towards accelerating the growth of the digital economy is set to expand to the task of unleashing the untapped value of global data assets, with efforts underway to establish a global data marketplace in partnership with a leading exchange.
